Flooded (I think)

Here's the deal. I tried to change my idle speed. I (like a dumbass) messed with the wrong screw and instead changed the fuel mixture. After I realized i was messing with the wrong screw I reset the mix screw to 3 turns. I believe my engine is flooded but i'm not sure. I would realy like to get my car started so any help would be appreciated.

pull all four plugs (one at a time) and see if they are fuel soaked. If so, it is most likely flooded. Clean and dry them thoroughly and give it another shot. When my '84 gsl wpould get flooded I sometimes had to wait 24 hours before it would start again. But I'm sure some of the guys here have a quicker way of unflooding it.

what i did during the winter.. when my car flooded alot.. was pull all the spark plugs... turn the car over for 10-15 seconds... put the spark plugs in.... and try to start the car... if thats doesn't work... put about a ounce of ATF in each primary chamber of the carb. WARNING though... this will foul your spark plugs!! when u put the atf in... go into the car.. give the pedel five shots of gas.. and then start the car with the gas pedel all the why down.... be prepare for a **** load of smoke

use MMO instead of ATF for this particular endeavor... Leave ATF for un-sticking apex seals

Another question. If i turn the mix screw on my carb (nikki) all the way in (clockwize) then turn it out 3 full turns. Is there any reason why my car would not start with the screw in that position. (eg. modifications or carb tweaking by the previous owner)
