Question GLS-SE quicky question

On a 2nd gen, you can simply pull the EGI fuse, turn the engine over a few times, replace the EGI fuse and your good to go.

Where is the EGI fuse on a GSL-SE? It doesn't look like it's one of the fuseable links.

There is no equivalent on the FB. There is an engine fuse under the dash, but...
If you disconnect the primary on the trailing (front) coil, it will prevent the fuel pump from running. (13B only, does not work for the 12a) If you hold it disconnected while someone turns it over, and reconnect it after a few seconds of turning, without stopping, it may do the trick. If not, remove the plugs, etc.

Pulling the engine fuse under the dash has always worked for me. Not that the Mound floods or anything...

Right on.

it's the green fusible link. The block says "injectors". Pulling it out should disable the injectors

The only problem with pulling the link, as with the engine fuse, is that it will also disable the ignition.
The advantage with pulling the primary of the trailing coil is that it kills the fuel pump but the leading plugs will still fire. The engine will run for a second on the excess fuel and the remaining fuel under pressure in the line, drying the plugs and chambers better that just turning it over.
Plus it's easier to get at.

this works perfectly... with the one coil disconnected the engine'll fire once, this is when to reconnect the coil. It'll then start pumping again and run fine.
I've installed a relay to do this for me... cold mornings don't get along with the engine too well, so it's needed sometimes.
