its raised because the engines cam pullies are raised up so they had to make the bump to clear the cam pullies and the cam pullies are only on one side of the engine

oh man..that looks great! seriously...i am very picky about body mods, and you know obviously everyone has their own opinion, but imo....awesome...probably because its subtle so it doesn't draw attention.

the "bump" on mine is for battery clearence. ('95 Talon)

I havent had much time to work on it lately. I need to get the waves sanded out still. I think it will look really good once painted also. Any ideas on what color? It will need jammed even if I repaint it black, the paint is horrible everywhere. It sat outside unprotected for 4 years but luckily it was zebarted (sp).

Just wanted to bump this so I can find it later on when I show off the finished product. I basically redid most of the work as I figured out a slightly better way to do it all. Still worried about the filler breaking out when the hood closes, but time will tell. Pics soon to come. I also decided to paint it gloss black for now so I can see any other areas that will need work down the road.
