Actually, this wouldn't be much different than a blowthrough carb setup. Your are still putting the fuel in at the same place. The advantage to this would be the computer. This would allow you to adjust your air/fuel mixture with the click of a mouse. I have thought about doing something sort of like this, but using a Holley (part #HLY-950-23S) TBI with a RB intake. The Holley TBI fits a standard 4 barrel bolt pattern like the RB intake uses. Sound doable, right?

TBI isnt bad,its just not as effective as port injection.Wet manifold designs waste fuel in comparison due to fuel sticking to,and running down the intake passage walls. That said, its still smoother and simpler than many 70's and 80's computor controlled carbs.
While not a bad idea, this guys setup is pure homebrewery. Why use an NA manifold and Volvo turbo when the TII manifold and turbo are nearly a bolt on?No way it could ever be smog legal, and CA smog regulations are steadily creeping across the country.

I have the Holley Commander 950 TBI on my 13B equipped 84GS, and I must say, there is a noticable improvement in power over the RB Holley 650 carb, but I still don't have the fuel maps right. (This setup is designed for a v8, and none of the included base maps are even close, so I had to start from scratch) That said, I am also thinking of super/turbo charging it. According to Holley tech support, the commander 950 can't be used with forced induction, but in the manual there is a brief section describing how you can use with forced induction with the use of a 2 or 3 bar MAP sensor as opposed to the 1 bar included with the kit. If anyone has anymore info on this it would be appreciated.
