ya it was bludy awsom to drive it finaly.
except the speedo aint working to well at the moment so i had to stay local i think it is about 20-30 km under what i am doing.

got one question. i figuered out my red line buzzer doesnt work except when i hit 100 on the speedo ( so i would have been doing 120-130km) i got this dinging noinse coming from the instument pannel?

scared the crap outa me the first time.

its the 79 jspec and the speedo has the red line at 100 so i figured it was a 100 speed limit warning? is it?

could be. The redline buzzer goes by engine RPMs, not street speed, so the dinging could be a speed limit 'feature'.

Congrats, BTW

if its a jspec car the pinging sound could be the speed warning. i know a lot of the older japanese cars had a ping that would tell you when you were going about 66 mph or faster. not sure how many kms that is though. anyways that could be it

1.6 km = 1 mile, roughly. I know the one time I got pulled over in Michigan I was doing 100 kph (Canadian standard highway speed limit). Turns out 55 MPH is about 91 KPH, so I was speeding.

The state trooper saw my tan uniform and green beret and waved me on. Guess he didn't know the majority of Canadian troops wear green berets as standard issue.

its so frustrating watching initial d (the greatest show ever) and trying to figure out how fast he starts his drifts...this show is how i learned about the pinging.
