It finally popped

Well, 4 years of constant torture and the good old 12a finnaly blew an apex seal. The 50 shot of nos probably did not help either. I dont think it was the nos, I ran it all saturday night and had no problems. Then I took off the bottle for the autox the next day and after my 5th run, I was at idle and it popped, then ran VERY bad. I pulled the motor last night and sure enough, a seal in my front rotor was broke. I'm not too dissapionted, I paid $500 for the motor 4 years ago. It ran a 15.5 before the nos, and I did not get to run it after but my buddy has a talon that ran a high 13 and he was not able to pull me. 50 shot rocks! I'll keep you all updated on what I run with the new motor.

That's what stinks about this engine. It always picks the "perfect" time to blow.

it was actually a 75 jet mounted inside my air cleaner lid. It was a wet shot. I have a holly blue fuel pump that puts out a whopping 110 gallons per hour. We just did a t-tap off my incomming fuel line. My pump has more than enough juice to run both. I also have a mikuni carb, not a nikki. My car had the stock 12a with that carb and racing beat header. The nos worked great! It almost felt like turbo since I was spraying before the carb. the faster the motor went, the faster the nos sucked in the carb.
