when the hell are they going to change the featured ride? im getting tired of seeing that stock FC on there, its been months since ive joined the site and i couldve sworn its been there since ive joined. maybe they should do another ride, possibly an FB.....just a thought. lets see if the adminstrators can do something about this eh?

the other one (a red FC) was up there for a loooong time.

yeah...the red one was there for at least 6months! so look for the fc to be there for a while!

I made a big fuss when they swapped the Red FC for the White one because I knew this would happen - another year without a change is upon us. The red one was there AT LEAST a year, because I joined July of '02, and I don't remember seeing the car change until Dec of '03. Assuming I didn't notice the featured car in my first few months on the forum, we'll say winter '02 to winter '03 that stupid red FC was up there.

Now we're going to be haunted by this FC for another year! Damn. We need an FB up there. Back when they changed it I was trying to get Manntis' car up there (because it had just been totaled, and he already had a website up) but IoTus has a nice ride, and so does DirectFreak. **** man, DirectFreak's car could beat the **** of some third gens they might post up there! Or put a motocross car up, like Carl's car. If you want bone stock, wait until spring and put mine up! We've got plenty of choice, and while Jesus Padilla's car was frikking fast, I think it should be a prominant forum member - since it'll be up there for a while and prominant forum members deserve a little appreciation.

We could even put TJ's stolen-and-recovered story up there, but it'd be better suited once he's rebuilt it.

So how do we get this changed? the December FC is getting old now.

Well you guys all know there will NEVER be an FB or SA up there. They will put up another FC, or an FD but we will not see and FB or SA. There is like a conspiricy to exclude the First Gen out for some reason.

Its like the First Gen gets no respect at all from the non first gen people, and I got news for them with out the First Gen the rest would not exist.

You look at the sheer posting volume on the first page of this board and you'll quickly see why Scalliwag's car is up there...the 2ndgen guys post twice as much material and have that many again in members...next is the FD crowd and we're dead last...just like in America, the minority voice is trampled on and people wish they'd just say yes and shut up about the subject...BTW, since I know Scalli, I voted to keep it...nice car even in person..for a poor man's Porsche, anyway...

The last featured ride was up there fr almost 2 years

Just so you know, Mike (aka Scalliwag) did a fantastic tranformation on that car, in a matter of 6 WEEKS. That's pretty frikken impressive..

Anyway, yeah, it woudl be nice to see a 1st gen up there, but look at the draw of the forum.. They post what the fans want... Turbos

Yes I like the car. Very nicely done car. No, I don't think it should stay up there. Change it at least once a month. It would be nice to see an FB up there. Mabey Iotus's car. It has a turbo.

 

That car was fully built from ground up and its only been up there 2 months compared to the Red Fc that was up there for like a year. I dont understand why its such a big issue your supposed to be reading how to make your car better not staring at shiny things =D.

 

I believe it's, without the old school rotorys, the rest wouldn't exist. R100's, RX2,3,4, 5/Cosmo, REPU, even the ones before that got the whole thing started.

 

rx7gslse, there are plenty of first gen turbos on this forum that post regularly. kehoe, sweet man were getting a first gen up there then we'll have a party at the vacation home. rxtasy3, you have a point, pre-85 rotaries dont gets notice, how about that?
