nice thing about a 1st gen- you can do anything you want to it, with out having to worry about being grouped into that F&F crowd....

enjoy your 2nd and 3rd gens, but respect the older stuff, cause it all had to start somewhere.

I wouldn't care what generation of rx7 gets posted but atleast change the damn thing monthly.

And get something interesting than a plan rx7 that you see everywhere. Respect for the condition that it is in but we need a change of pace.

Most people like me will add on to their car a few times a year... lets get some innovative cars up there.

there's how many thousand members? and everyone knows someone who has a car that "deserves" to be up there. and you can't really argue "theres faster cars" because if you find the 'fastest,' imagine how long it would be up there. soul's car was hella fast (when it was running). 87GTR's 87 "GTR" (and who said 'whats in a name'...) pushed like 499.9 and is his only means of transportation. a daily driven 10 second (capable) 2nd gen?? that sounds worthy to me to be up there. i'm not an admin/mod, so i cant really say what goes into maintaining a site. but i agree that the cars should be rotated monthly. i'd love to see a few older RXs before the 'seven.'

I only have two issues in life, getting rid of Bush and getting rid of that white 2nd generation RX-7 as a featured car. Why pick a historical low point as an example of a classic vehicle like the RX-7? It used to be red, now it's white. How interesting. Maybe when Bush gets dumped we can see some change in the featured car department, a nice 1st or 3rd gen RX-7.

one thing that I hate about this forum is all the dead member names.... we have like 41,000 members, but a majority of them never sign in or post....

there should be a thing like hotmail, where if you don't sign in for 30 days, your account is deleted.... that way if you want to sign up, it's not impossible to find a user name.... and it would save space on the members' directory....

lol, none, but I know it's a pain in the *** at every other place. That way possibly serious potential members have to make up names like "JoeRX-7198576" to get a membership

plus the fact that it's a huge status quote "we have over 40,000 members to date"

Thanks for the vote of confidence mar3, but I hear that sometimes people who enter the DoOB never return. Besides, from the looks of this poll, I'm well within the majority: 60% want to get rid of the white one and only 20% want to keep it, although I don't think Bush is doing that bad, yet.

I think we should put Carl's banana car up there, a seven for the common man. Just my opinion, of course.

Wow!!! I read all the posts and now I am really glad I am selling the car! Believe it or not most of the people that know me, know that I really don't get very excited over a 2nd Gen coupe either. Hell none of the coupes really do much for me except FD's and RX8's. (oops, they really hate me now ) But twist that key and I hear a BRAP-BRAP-BRAP and that gets my blood pumping It's kinda like an ugly girl with a rock'n bod You kinda wish you could do something about that fuggly mug

I like modded cars, bridgeports, pports, big turbos.
It is pretty odd the reason behind me ever getting this car.
I actually sold my vert which I really liked because I was going to buy an RX8. I had the car sold and money in hand for a down payment only to find out Ford Motor Credit had my credit screwed up. They reported for 5 months that I did not pay for a car. The car was totalled and paid off already

So a guy had posted this car on the forum and I figured what the hell I will fix it up and that would take my mind off the screwed up situation with the RX8 getting shot down and losing my vert.
But I didn't want to take a rare car and mod the hell out of it. Regular FC's are readily available for that.
It took 32 days to get it done. There is some little mediocre stuff left but I will let the new owner finish up.
Everything I did do was done right.
The 10AE is rare in terms of numbers but it is just a glorified T-II. But to some it is a rare car in stock form and that is a dream car to them.

So I understand the comments here firsthand and hopefully you first gen guys get a car up in the top right corner soon.... well at least I hope my car is there until it sells
Oh and you guys can thank Mario (Mar3) for getting 1st Gens represented on my Vintage Forum. I don't have a "featured car" area yet but when I do Mario will make damn sure I hang an FB up there.

Cheers guys and thanks for the interesting comments. I sure am glad I'm not real attached to it or I would have been crushed!!!
Click on my forum link and post some pics of what you guys got.
Oh and when you take a complaint to an admin here be sure to point out that you appreciate their hard work on the site. They do get more complaints than compliments and a pat on the back beats the hell out of a slap on the head. Not that any of you would do that, but....

take care, Scalli

Yeh Scalliwag, nothing specific about your car, in fact I've heard it is very nicely done, very pretty. It's just that between the red one and the white one we've been looking at 2nd gens a long time, ever since Bush got elected. Maybe it's a Texas mafia thing.

Well guys I sold the 10th to a Marine that just got back from Iraq a few months ago. His name Is Alan Green and is stationed in North Carolina, calls Atlanta Georgia home.
He won it on Ebay for 7k and is at this moment enroute home with it.
He is really excited about it and he seems like he will take good care of it.

So how about I fix up a 1st Gen and see if they will feature it? JUST KIDDING!!!! But I will root for you guys to get a little representation. Bern that runs 7Stock has one of the nicest I have seen and would be a great candidate.
