Fd Irs

I'm sure everyone has seen that the rear suspension of the FD is totally self contained in a subassembly (subframe). Has anyone ever heard of someone trying to install this rear suspension subassembly into an FB?

Yeah, theres a pic floating around somewhere of a yellow FB with a body kit, supra-style wing, and a good shot of the rear suspension from the side with the car jacked up and the wheel off. I'll post it if i can find it.

Heh, heh. very nice. Anyway, I wasn't able to find the pic. The site I thought it was on seems to be down. Oh well.

357, if I remember correctly it was the IRS from a 300zx, and he had swapped the front suspension as well (rotors also), and was running 300zx wheels

purple82, were just giving you a hard time. It's just funny because the way your post reads is like you would expect anything BUT Japanese people in Japan.

Very interested in this.. At one point i thought of trying to through a kit together from the miata for 1st gens.. And resell them...

But most people probably could not come up with the $$..

Either way, i plan on doing this to mine.

I never got to a solid price.. ( you kinda need to do it to really know how much it will end up costing)

If i ever get around to doing mine (need to sell my other car 1st) I will probably keep the fabricated parts around to resell so people can peice there own "kit" together.

I just wish we had some decent junk yards around here.. so i could go take measurements off of a bunch of differnet cars.. (to find the best replacement)

Holy cow, 375 for an entire suspension setup seems like a really good deal.
