Talking FB Engine Swap options

I currently purchased myself another FB as my old one died in a crash I do however have the 12a from the car and parts 12a that is trouble from the new car.

I am currently weighing up my options for an engine swap. My father and brother are both machinists/mechanics so my options are open.

I was thinking of a N/A 20b at first but it seems the parts and accessories may be out of my budget (3-5k) I have seen some nice 86-92 turbo 2 motors for 1200-1300, what is difference between the years? (s4-s5?) What works better for this swap?

Also I have seen the REW's from the third gens for slightly more, Is there any added trouble over the T2 swap?

An N/A triple 12a would be sweet too, we have a Cnc lathe so if someone was to present me with a build thread and the eccentric shaft schematics this could be an option too?

Anyhow I have read the T2 swap guide and was wondering what everyone's opinions are, Looking forward to the build! If a someone could do a comparison between the swaps or even a parts list I would near soil my britches..

Structural integrity comes to mind.. But I'm sure both are near equally challenging... I was mearly throwing it out there as in option. I will put the time in if necessary, but a quick ride for the fall would be nice too!

How does the 12A and carb deal with boost and Bridge/PP? Also what should be considered when rebuilding a 12a, a complete rebuild kit or just partials?

Defined autoworks is doing that right now. Aluminum rotors and triple plugs with telescoping intake too. I haven't seen a thread here, but they did post it on facebook. They are aiming for 700whp n/a
