Fastest 1st gen 1/4 mile time?

Hey guys I am a 2nd gen guy myself but was wondering what the fastest 1/4 mile time all of you guys have gotten. I am looking for time from a 1st gen motor as well, no swaps. N2O is fine though. Thanks alot.

My 85 stock port ran a 16.00 at Bandimere in Denver Co. Consider theres no air here at the MILE HIGH CITY!.

I want to try it in my car too. All I need now is an LSD rear and I'll be set. I have most everything else.

LSD rear? Why? I didn't need one

I might end up trying the SA trans into FB swap... whereas before my trans would whine a bit any time the input shaft turns (esp. when cold) now when I sit at a light in Neutral, you can hear the whine and occasional sounds similar to light branches going through a chipper-shredder.

I mean, the "turn up the radio and ignore it" solution is only gonna work for so long, and the clutch is gonna need replaced anyway...

15.7 @ 87 for me, minimal mods (full exhaust, e-fan, air filter, a few other little things). Problem is 1st gear won't hook up for ****; if I had traction I think I could run better times.

Ahaha, my daily driver 98 mustang GT did 15.1 in 95deg 100% humidity. Funny thing is my 83 with holley and intake is probably faster! I keep the rx in the garage and the mustang on the street

I don't know if you guys notice this too, but I find the dragstrips around here seem to have starting zones that are way slippier than on the street. On the street wheelspin is controllable, but on the strip it's all of first gear, even with tires deflated. I feel like I could run a better time on a regular road.

Launch pads at the strip are concrete.

Concrete covered with rubber!

That's why doing burnouts at the strip is good... you want rubber on rubber, not rubber on water/oil/Pepsi/cheese fries/pebbles/etc on rubber. Plus, gooey rubber sticks to rubber better than dry rubber sticks to rubber.

Norwalk sprays the first 60' with VHT before the slick-tire classes run, which works out to about once an hour or two on test-n-tune nights.
