fan help!!

ok my 1984 gsl-se fan is making alot of noice, not annoying sound..
but when you rev it, it's almost like you hear the fan more than the motor itself..

i'm just wondering if there is anyway of quiting the fan.. maybe its to tight,
maybe its not even a stock fan.. help?!

You need to verify that the fan clutch is operating properly.
When the engine is cold there should be very little resistance when you spin the fan by hand.

After the engine comes up to operating temp their should be more resistance when you spin the fan by hand.

If you have a hard time spinning the fan by hand when the engine is cold the fan clutch is defective and is staying engaged all time time.
