It failed me today!!!

Yup, The 7 didn't start today. The car has never failed me before. It was about 1 degree above zero this morning and it would hardly turn over. I was thinking about getting a new battery tomorrow and may be a block heater. Do you guys use block heaters? What size of battery do you guys use? (CCA) thanks

Chach

For CCA I get as big as I can afford, 600 or better.

The battery that is in there is a 560ca and 450cca. This must not be good enough.

450 cca should be adequate but it depends on the age of the battery. Most batteries lose 10-20 cold cranking amps per year of service.

Get a new battery and at night if its going to be cold take chirstmas lights and a blanket and lay it on your engine, electric blankets work well too. Lots easier to start.

Yep, sounds like your battery just can't turn the engine fast enough in the cold temperatures to start the engine. Get a stronger battery. I have a 650cca 800ca battery and it turns the engine over no problem.
