F@$%ing window regulators
Ok, I get to work today and go to roll up my manual windows and the drivers side gets stuck half way up. I give it a little more muscle and the window starts coming off the track and at a wierd angle in to the car. I rolled it back down, all was well up again and same problem. I think the Assembly is bent and needs replaced. The passenger side is fine.
Does anyone have a manual drivers side window regulator in good working condition that they would sell me cheap?
peace

Try grease. The main problem is them running dry. So grease the system, and maybe a little silicone oil for the rubber channels. I had the same problem, and grease for the mechanical part plus oil for the channel (don't mess up the glass :-) ) solved it.

yeah, just try lubricating all the mechanism and making sure the front rail inside the door is tight against the glass and the rubber tracks are still there.
I have a manual window regulator and tracks you could have...but, Its here in New Zealand with me... I converted my car to electric windows.

The main problem with the Mazda window regulators is that the outboard side of the shaft is not bushed, but rather protrudes through a hole in the support that gets egg-shaped with wear. Then the handle gets wobbly and the gears do not mesh properly. If your window crank handle wiggles up and down, this is probably the case. The only way to fix it is to replace it. I pulled three window regulators at the junkyard recently, and picked the best one for my car. I paid $15.00 for it. If your handle has no play, it could just be that you need to grease it though. Good luck! -Mike

Yeah i was just gonna say.... most junkyards have a day where its like "all you can carry away for 10 bucks." id recommend doing that if greasing it doesnt work.

Well the handle wiggles tremendously up and down. I have a problem with the boneyards around here they are all overpriced and none have any first gens with manual windows. I really hate to pay what Mazda or mazdatrix is asking for one, so if any of you can help PM me with cost and estimate shipping to 31603.

How about 25 bucks + shipping? I'll go get one of the regulators I pulled during my parts-pulling spree. The junkyard that has 'em wants $20.00 for them so I'm only making 5 bucks on the deal. Anyway, there it is if you're interested. Let me know. -Mike
