In front of the radiator, under the header panel. There is a large rubber body plug.

Sorry to dispute trochoid, but the expansion valve should be located right by the firewall, either under the hood, or inside the car.
The condensor and drier will be under the front header panel on factory A/C.

Thanks for the feedback. If I want to replace it, do replace it from the hood side of the firewall or from the inside?

That would totally depend upon where it is located. I believe the expansion valve is located under the hood on factory A/C, and most (if not all) dealer A/C.
It should be a square-ish box, located right by the firewall, where the line from the dryer comes to it. 2 large lines, and a small tube coming out, going inside the firewall.

I see where 2 lines enter the firewall but I do not see ay box. The 2 lines are on the passenger firewall.

It is under the dash, you have to remove the evaporator coil, and remove it from the evaporator coil.
Do you still have pressure in the system? If so you need to have it "recovered" before you open it up.
