Estimated time it takes to do a carb rebuild?...

I have the carb-rebuild kit sitting, here, next to my PC. It's nice outside, today. If I were to attempt a carb rebuild, what is the estimated time to complete the task? (I have access to a sandblaster, parts washer, and compressed air, too.)

(EDIT: The carb is a 1981 stock Nikki with emissions intact.)

Ok...it took me about an hour to remove the carb while taking photos. Then, my three year old wanted me to go swimming. Three hours later, I am looking at the printed Adobe pages of the 1981 - 82 RX7 Carbs; about 15 pages in all. I'll bet it takes me weeks! Maybe I'll just send it off to get the Sterling treatment!

What have I got myself into, now? lol

Well getting it all clean and ready for re assembly is the longest part. Then careful assembly takes a couple of hours roughly. You can do it all in one day.

I may as well take photos and make proper descriptions of the procedure as I go along. That way if I get stuck, maybe I can ask on here for guidence. Then later, I'll post the entire rebuild for as a photo reference.

I'll post a few pics of the grungy thing! Be glad this one isn't on your car...lol

While just holding the carb and looking without any disassembly, yet, the main jet plugs are quite oily / dirty looking. Am I correct in assuming this signifies a too-rich condition? (Yep, she's a filthy thing.)
