engine swap trouble

im putting the motor from an 86 into my 85 gsl-se and im switching the rats nest. On the 86 motor there is some kinda valve thing on top of the motor and it is in the way of the 85's rat nest. do they make a block off plate for this and where can i get it?

Sounds like the egr vavle. Just make a block off plate for it, remove the studs and use bolts for the plate.

I use 1/4" aluminum, then paint or powdercoat them. Most galvanized metals are too thin to be leak proof.

A saber saw, drill with bit and a file is all you need to make a block off plate. If not, try RB or Mazdatrix.
