engine swap question

my se blew up so i'm looking for an engine. 6-ports are hard to find so i think i am going to use a 2nd gen as a doner car. are their any links that i can use? will the se trans bolt up. what other problems am i going to have?

2nd gen motors are either 6-ports or turbos, so 6 ports aren't that hard to find. The 6 port will bolt up to your tranny. You can throw a front plate on from a gsl-se and drop a 6port right in, if you put a carb on it. Oh, and you'll need a gsl-se or cosmo oil pan. I think that's about it.

You can make it work. 2nd gens used a crank sensor to replace the distributor, but you can put SE parts back on the block and hook it up. The SE lower manifold will bolt to the block, too, but the runners are small. A little time with a dremel on the manifold-block flange would be a good idea.

If your donor car is an S4, take the ecu, afm and harness also. That way you can use the S4 intake and the 4-460 injectors. You get 11 more stock hp.
