Engine reassembly 12a ????????

Quote from Haynes manual "Mesh the internal gear & stationary gear so that the rotor is in the same location as when disassembled. The rotor is easiest to install with one apex pointed towards the top of the engine & the other two symemetrically on either side"...... OK my problem I forgot to check & take note where my rotor was, DUH Any help thanks

Dont matter, it will only go together one way...

Just make sure the Front rotor stays in the front and the rear stays in the rear ...

When you buy a fukll rebuild gasket kit from mazda there are a few o rings left over... I still to this day have some, and I looked and looked and never seen where they went...

When putting the motor back together: When your do the rear rotor, its easy. When you go to do the front one, you have to put the inter. housing on and to do that you have to pull up on the e shaft. Its a real bitch to keep the apex corners from flinging out you have to be super careful you dont loose a apex corner and not know it. Heres my advice on that, get some super glue, lay the apex's on the workbench, super glue the corners to the apex seal so they cant move easy. Put it together still being careful. Got that advice from Mazdatrix. He said that the super glue would get burnt off and the apex would be back to normal Good luck

Thanks Mike. I'll do that, I almost lost one when i tried removing the shaft. I'll be putting it all back together tomorrow, I have finnished cleaning & painting & street porting it, will be interested in the difference, although apart from the major oil leak, the inside of the engine was fairly clean & in good condition.
