Engine dies under load

My 81 RX-7 looses power and dies as soon as I start up a hill or an incline. This is after the engine is warm and has been driven a few miles. It will restart after a few attempts, but does this every time I drive it.

Any Ideas?

check timing
getto check compression, sequentially take bottom spark plugs out and hand crank listen for 3 even whooooshes - do this for front and back rotors,

look for a part that will by expansion due to heat cause a big vacuum leak

fuel level in float bowls 1/2 way at sight glass?

check all the basics - filters,plugs.wires,dist. cap, on and on

thats a start

let us know what you find

Only when going uphill? If so, start by checking the fuel level in the float bowls. How old is the fuel filter?
