Picking up a 85 gslse

Well my mom's boss has had this car since he bought it new in 85, but about 2 years ago the muffler fell off and the fuel filler neck started to leak. So he had his mechanic take it to fix both the problems. Well 2 years later the mechanic still has the car and my mom's boss has lost interest in it and the shop where it sits is conveniently 2 blocks away from a good friends house. I figure that it will be relatively easy to fix the filler neck leak and my friend welds so pulling a new muffler (cheap one until i decide im keeping it) will be rather easy. Also the emission laws in my state allows me to pass emissions once and then I never have to again so i can remove the power robing components from the car (collector plates). I went into the shop the other day to take a look at it and the paint is flawless and the stock rims look like they have rarely been driven on so im guessing that it has less than 30,xxx on it and i will be paying somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 for it

Now as soon as i get it im planning on
1. changing the oil (motor, trans and differential)
2. replacing the spark plug(s) and wire(s)
3. checking to make sure the motor is not carbon locked via hand turning the engine (via method in the faq)
4. fixing the above mentioned problems
5. installing the electric fans from a 94 probe gt

is there anything that I am forgetting to do?
since it has the 13b with fuel injection am i better off in the fc forum when i have engine questions?
Is the gslse have tb fuel injection (i dont think so but im not sure)?

Thanks

Why did the mechanic have the car for 2 years, if all that was wrong with it was the filler neck and a muffler? and they still ahvn't fixed it? And why would the guy let them keep it for that long?

i was wondering if it was throttle body (tb) injection.

The mechanic was left a large trust fund by one of his relatives so he doesnt care about the cash and my mom's boss doesnt want the car nor need the cash from selling it. The only real incentive for my mom's boss to take the car back is that he wouldn't have to be forced to put liability insurance on it.

Yes, and no. It does have a T/body, but the injectors are in the rotor housings.
