Engine Changeover Questions(Noob)

Hey,
I have a 1979 Mazda RX7 Series 1. My current 12A engine is a carburettor and i want to change to a 13B Twin Turbo. Can i put the carburettor onto the 13B Twin Turbo? Can I just use the parts from the 12A or do i need a different carburettor? What else would i need for the change over from the 12A to a 13B Twin Turbo?

Seriously,if you have to ask, if you can put the 12A carb onto a 13B-REW engine.......your best not attempting the swap....or just pay someone to do it.

Read up...a lot!
The,"Can I install a turbo 13B into my 1st gen?" question.....is THE most asked question here.It gets asked 5-10 times a week, there are tons of info on the subject here on the forum and in the archives.
I will say this, youd be better off doing a TII swap since it requires less fabrication and is much easier to pull off when using the stock ECU.The twin turbo engine is badass, but its much more work to get it working in the 1G chassis.Lots of people have done 87-91 TII turbo engine swaps,so there is plenty of info and experiences for you to take advantage of.The twin turbo swap is possible and has been done a couple times, but honestly,it doesnt sound like your ready for such an undertaking......

And most importantly alot of research...

Expecting everyone to come into your thread and let you know all the information about swapping a engine is asking for too much. There seriously could be books written about doing the swap, thats how much information and different opinions there are on the subject. So take your time, research, take jot notes of things that you feel are important, and once you feel ready to do the swap start buying parts.

Yes, search. Everybodys already got you covered, but check out the faq page and use the search button a lot- It helps a ton. Also, welcome to the forum. Post some pics of your seven and just wait to do a engine swap. Wait till you got money for a 20b(search). Atleast your not asking how to install a v8 engine . Good luck with your seven and god bless.

Or just do what all other Aussies do, a big fat bridge port on your 12A. Sounds awesome, goes fast and you don't have as much to worry about

^^HIJACK^^

On the subject of a 12a to 13b swap, I just picked up an 83, with a GSL-SE engine, LSD, and they even swapped the whole interior (including dash) into it... However, the oil cooler wasn't mounted yet, and I still have the bee-hive. Anyone got the hoses for an SE hanging around? If so, PM me...
