Thumbs up

Hey that Fiero Fan looks like it was made for it.

1) Does it keep it cool enough? Blows Hard? Loud?
2) Built in Shroud?
3) How Much?
4) More Pics...

I like how easy it is to change spark plugs when open like that.
I always challenge 3rd gen owners to a drag race, starting with a spark plug change, and then a 1/4 mile race, first to complete wins. hehe

Hey thanks Max7 for lightening that pic. The fan keeps the engine VERY cool, infact it runs cooler now than it did with the clutch fan! I picked this unit up from a salvage yard for $30 (that includes the shroud) the replacement motors can be purchased for 25 bucks from pepboys.

How did you paint your alternator that color? that's sweet. I am going to do mine in that mazda blue (like the stock air filter housing).

Looks like he removed all (most of?) of his emissions equipment.

yeah the fan is piston pounder's idea. As for the alt. I just masked off the areas and sprayed them with engine paint. There is absolutely no emmissions control devises on this car, that is why I everything looks so simple; I am obsessed with giving my car a clean, simple look. Just pull the rats nest out and block everything off! here are some more pics!

Wicked I was gonna do the fiero fan mod this week! That caught my eye right away!!

What did you need from the fiero besides the fan to make it work?

And How did you hook it up?

I have the fan and I'm getting the pontiac fan switch friday. Anything else?

JIMMY

Thanks in advance!

Maybe I am dumb, but I still dont get how direct fire works. Do you just tap right of the coils? makes no sense to me. Jason

OK, sorry to ask you about all this stuff... but I have an 84 GSL Automatic stock and I wanna remove as much stuff under my hood as possible. I don't care about emmissions, screw the atmosphere.... hehe, I just wanna make my engine compartment look clean and easier to work in.

Give me some ideas. Thanks.

I am not concerned with polluting so much as I am smogging. Will a car pass CA smog without those things? I don't see how...
