WooHoo I can't wait to install this puppy... so is it true of what I hear; smoother idle, better fuel economy and bit more power?

thanks,
matt

yup, yup, and sorta yup.

you won't notice a HUGE increase in fuel economy, so don't go selling your Geo Metro, but the idle will be smoother, the throttle response will be a bit quicker, and above all, you don't have to deal with crappy points and condensers EVER again

We did this swap back a while ago on Jermey's 79. It was a piece of cake, but jeremy was having trouble with it... Brought it over here and we wired it up, he had a bad igniter but anyways...

Search under igntion in jeremy user name Plenty of info.

Got it all setup and on the first turn of the key the car fired right up and purred like a kitten.
MAN does the motor idle better, throttle response is crisp, and the exhuast note sounded a bit different; cool.
Thanks for the help guys,
matt

No pictures, because of the lack of a digital camera.
So I'll explain it - It's rather simple actually and only will cost you around $20.

All you need is to purchase an Empi Vdub Traction bar (I had one laying around from my project drag bug). Flatten out the two end support in a vise, drill a couple of 1/2" holes in your rear strut tower (remember to remove the rear panels first) and get two 1/2" bolts with nylon locking washers... bolt it up and you'll be done!

The rear end seems better planted around turns, but it could also be psychological

Looks cool and I have gotten quite allot of oooohh's and aaaahhh's over it's chrome finish.

Enjoy,
matt
