Talking Electrical

I was wondering if someone knows a bit about 1st gen electrical systems, because i shorted out a few things when i installed the battery (brilliant i know) but i managed to get everything up to speed again, except for a few components;

not working
-----------------------
my deck
my in car clock
the cigar lighter
and that console on the front

working
------------------------
AC
antenna
radio

PS i changed all the fuses but when i put the 15 A fuse into the cigar/clock slot it always blows the fuse when i put it in and ive tried several 15 A fuses for that slot.

If anyone knows what i am doing wrong plz feel free to help me as this is my first car and i am open to any suggestions. ty.

wierd. Your clock and lighter are on two different circuits. The clock should be on a 15A fuse, the lighter on a 10A - and the AC comes after the lighter fuse, not before.

Do your power mirrors work?

Use a 20 amp or higher fuse and see if it blows.

Just kidding. You more than likely have a short to ground somewhere. You may want to disconnect one of the items and see if it continues to blow. Try one, and then the other. See which one has the short.

Cool Very First Cars

My very first car is an 82 rx7, i purchased it from my friend for 1500 dollars canadian, because weve known eachother for so long. the car is red stock color, faded a little bit, but theres no rust and only a few dings and dents. the car itself has only 124,000 kms on it and handles beautifully. aside from small parts under the hood falling apart such as; rusted bolts/screws, corroded air filters, and corroded radiator pieces, the thing has after-market exhaust and purs like a kitten. i just took it for a rip last night with all my friends and their supra, 87 rx7 and civics and stuff. its safe to say, after 25 years, this car can still keep up. sometimes in a short stretch i would take the supra because of my lighter body and faster accel. the supra is turbo charged and japanese imported right hand drive. the other rx7 is white, and its got a short shift 50% reduc (might as well get an automatic) but still if anyone has any storys about their first cars plz feel free to share, i cant get enough info on the RX7's myself.
