Planning on using an electric pump for my race car 12A motor. Looking at the factory water pump is there any reason I can't simply remove the front pump cover complete with pully/shaft/impeller assembly and fabricate a thick flat aluminium cover plate in its place? Anyone done this? Trying to keep it simple.
