electric engine preheater

i was thinking about getting an electric engine preheater for my 83 gsl.

there are two kinds that were suggested to me: a frost plug heater and an oil pan heater.

i was curious about the availability of these for a rotary application...

anyone have one on their 7?

i am actually very interested in doing this as well. i've found that my 7 does not like the cold much (duh) so i was thinking if i could find an engine bay heater or something to keep the motor warm all night it would help not only prolong the life of the motor but also help her start easier in the mornings....

if anyone has put on in their car, any info that they can give would be much appreciated.

It's better to use an old post.
