Alternator: veryify top is field
Quick question/verification.
There are three wires on the alternator (85 12A)
The big one to the driver side is the main output
Then there are two in the harness. The top one is the field.
Comments? Corrections?
Thanks!

this is easily found in a search its been covered a bunch!
black/white (thicker of the two) is 12V ign
white/blk is a negative trigger to the choke/check relay (dont ask me why its called that) mounted on the left side of the engine compartment, its the relay that turns the idiot lights off during start up (the alternator starts charging and turns the lights on the dash off)
