ebay jerk
Look at this. By his own admission he took his cousins car after loaning money to cousin in florida to fix his house after storms.

I made a note to this guy that the rats nest was removed (could be a good thing if you don't need emissions tested) and it's not as he described. Just wanted him to know he could mislead someone.
his response to me
i aint hidding anything either bid or mind your business.

"Virgin"
More of a problem with his car is "Virgin" when its missing rats nest. Mines gone also but if I were to sell it I'd disclose this fact.
Attitude when I made a friendly mention of this to him so he would be aware that a buyer could have a problem if they did not know and failed an emissions test.
Guess I'm not a *****. Family is family and you don't take their baby.

love the braaaap
Wow, I have that EXACT 3 piece whale tail for my car! Just gotta install it.
Anyway, the cars in ok shape. Definately not worth over 4 g's, but hey, if its worth that much in his mind then let it be. He will eventually find a buyer for it.

Looks like the right rear has damage on the bumber and thats why the RR light is skewed. Also, whats that in the second picture from the right, on the left side of the fender? Looks like a tire sitting there. I wonder if the left axle is actually pulling out or why else have a tire that far out on the picture.?
Looks like a scam to me :-)

two rackets for the a/c hose are missing also. Maybe the current owner isn't aware that RX-7's had rat nests. So he thinks that the car is a virgin.
Can't you "buy" an inspection sticker in Illinios like you can in other states? Maybe Florida doesn't even have emissions test like Alabama, parts of Texas, and parts of Pennsylvannia?
For kicks, look up fiat' x1/9's on e-bay.

Is it really illegal to have "For Sale" signs on cars in Chicago? That seems draconian in the extreme.
Politely messaged him regarding the car having lost its cherry.

Hey he deserves it now. I messaged him back that I was just trying to let him know that the rats nest was missing and he might want to disclose that to a unknowing buyer. In southern wisconsin there is testing of emissions at the dot office. Him being close it could sell there. I'm not sure about IL?
here is his response.

Yeah he's a ***. If I knew his address I could go by and see the car and then talk **** about the rats nest and tell him it won't pass emissions. I use to live in Chicago and emissions are required thats probably why it's on Ebay. More and likely he's selling it because it already failed. Maybe I'll email him and offer $700 for it because it's missing parts.

He replied twice to this from me:
"Dear polyturbo,
Hello, Just wanted to let you know that the car is not stock, and will not pass emissions. Someone has removed the "rat's nest", which is a collection of emissions solenoids and vacuum lines that normally sit on top of the engine block. -dave"
1st reply:
"i had several people ask me that so i called my cousin the previous owner he removed it when he did the rebuild i beleive if you still have the cats you shouldn't have a problem thanks for looking"
2nd reply:
"thanks anyways already have a deposit from a local buyer that came to see it just waiting for the rest of the money to end the auction."
