Thumbs up Dyno'd My TII FB This Weekend

I went to a dyno day last Saturday with my 1st gen. The 7 managed a best of 276whp/233tq @10psi. I was predicting around 280 so I'm very pleased with the results. I'm planning on getting a better fuel system and shooting for 300+whp at 14-15psi on pump gas. My mods are:

Streetported S4 13BT
T04B V-trim compressor/P-trim turbine
HKS Manifold/ Ext Wastegate/ FMIC
Bosch Ext Fuel Pump/ 750cc x4 Injectors
Electromotive TEC-1
3" Exhaust

Some video of each of the runs, all in 3rd gear (audio is a bit off):
Run 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gum1VI5wwvE
Run 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEWeWgfP2Ro
Run 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SioWEHVLV6A

Dyno sheet attached below, I'm hoping the tailpipe AFR readings were off, wideband coming soon.

Just so you know you didn't really make that power if you did your runs in 3rd gear unless they did the conversion for the difference in gear at they dyno. Being in a lower gear multiplues your trque differently resulting in higher rwhp and rwtq numbers. Try a 1st gear pull and look how your car makes 600 ftlbs of tq and 700 hp. That's why people do 4th gear pulls 99% of cars have a 1.0:1.0 4th gear.

Dynojets compensate for this automatically.
His HP figures are true, as long as they are SAE.

I figured it would compensate for that, because they ran all the cars in 3rd gear and some people were actually getting dissapointing numbers (a TII with intake/ full exhaust made around 145-160whp). My numbers also correlate well with people w/ similar set-ups.

I second the props on the exhaust note, very well done. Care to share the specs, configuration and parts used to produce that lovely sound?

I have a full 3" exhaust on my 12A 1/2 bp, way way too loud and I don't think even with the turbo, that I can quiet it down enough to suit me. Mad props on a job well done. Would provide more infoon the turbo please, price and supplier?

you would be amazed how much a turbo quiets down a rotary. I run a S513BT and turbo mind you my engine does have a street port. 3" turbo back with a dynomax bullet presilencer and a magnaflow 3" muffler, and it's quieter than my na stock ported s313b with rb 2-1 short header, 2" rb presilencer, 2" bullet pre silencer and 2"rb or magnaflow exhaust I used to run.

I am aware of it, I was quite suprised when I 1st discovered that. I'm just not sure if it will be enough for mine. I've had noise complaints when the engine was was warming up at a 2k rpm idle. The exhaust wheel of a turbo quiets the note down as well as any pre-silencer out there and does a very good job of taking the tinny/raspyness out of the note too.

Thanks, the exhaust consists of an HKS 3" downpipe to an old Racing Beat TII presilencer (quite large), then 3" piping over the axle to an HKS twin-tip sport muffler made for an 87-92 Supra Turbo. It's pretty stock looking:

The turbo is a T04B V-trim compressor wheel/ P-trim turbine wheel, I'm not sure of the A/R specs without taking it apart. Nothing fancy, but it's a good budget upgrade over the stock S4/S5 turbo. Any place that sells Garrett/Borg Warner/Turbonetics turbochargers should have T04Bs, price could be anwhere from $450-1000+ depending on options.

did you do your dyno pulls indoors? seems kinda cold at 47deg with a humidity of 13% dry air for this time of the year .... i could maybe see it being 13% indoors but not 47 deg...we keep are shop around 75 80... if they didnt compensate for room temps than you have a false HP number

edit: just watched the videos good pulls... it could have been that cold every1 seemed bundled up lol...

that is such a steady power line. your car sounds great. T04 sounds like a good turbo to go with.
