Dumb question: How to set Trailing timing.

I seem to have misplaced my chilton manual....read about this the other week, but have since forgot.
How/where do I adjust the trailing?

(I have 2gcdfis w/tt, and leading is advanced approx 20 degrees)

Trailing is adjusted by using the screws on the vacuum pot. Loosen them, and move the pot to set it where you want it, then tighten and recheck. You may need to do this a couple times, as it is very easy to bump it, as you are tightening the screws.

what screws? I noticed that there are two screws holding the vacuum advance pot on the driver side of the distributor... loosened those and jimmied them around, no change.

You should be able to move the pot back and forth, which will advance/retard the timing. Should be the pot furtherest from the engine, IIRC.

The timing lights with the advance wheel are rather tricky to use on a rotary, unless you can set it for a 2 stroke engine. This due to firing every rotation.

I can definitely feel a difference now that I have the timing right! I went with 20° advanced because I was having trouble setting the distributor shaft to allow me to go an extra 4°....so I said fugg it and left it at 20°. I then set the trailing at 10° ATDC (dead center between the Red and Yellow marks).

That is the best explaination I've seen on setting timing yet, and Blake correctly said centripetal, instead of centrifugal.
