In the new aftermarket stuff Morroso has put out a new oil pan for 13B engines...Boy does that look pretty!

Won't work in our cars 
20940 (NEW) Aluminum, Mazda 13B Rotary, Rear Sump <---
Fits 1974-85 Mazda 13B Rotary Engines used in tube chassis cars and other cars without a crossmember located under engine (check dimensions for clearance)
However they do have another one.....
20942 (NEW) Aluminum, Mazda 13B Rotary, 4" Deep Sump
Fits Mazda 13B Rotary Engines used in Mazda RX-3 & RX-4 models; several rotary engine conversions including 1981-84 Toyota Starlet, 1964-83 Toyota Corolla, 1971-73 Datsun 1200 & others with little or no crossmember modifications; also tube chassis cars

Hey Max7, you're the metalman, why don't you fab up one yourself? Shouldn't be THAT hard, once you figure where to put the trapdoors and baffles.
I don't get where they say the X-brace increases engine stiffness. WTF? If our engines flexed that much we'd be blowing dowel pins and housings left and right like the guys who try to get 350+hp out of an FC engine, or 700+ from an FD. And if that is the situation that they're talking about, I don't think holding the oil pan in place will do anything as most of the "blowing out" force is near the bottom of the spark plug area, pretty far from the oil pan rails.

Hmmm... my cousin has a TIG welder he'd let us use, and my dad rebuilds frames for old Triumphs... Bring it to me Max... only a few hours away from you... he he
