Driveshaft replacement
How easy is it? I've looked underneath and it appears I need to remove the exhaust(test pipe) and heat shielding. Is that correct?
I was hoping to just unbolt from the diff and pull out the back.

As stated above, once you pull the 4 12mm bolts off of the rear flange, you should be able to drop it then pull straight back - regardless of heat shielding/exhaust.

I just swapped one last night. Took me 15 min in dirt on my back with abour 18" to work with. There's a hole about the size of your first that you can use to possition the yoke into the tranny. It helps to have a friend for this part, other than that it's simple.

Yeah, shutup kid.
It makes it hard when you driveshaft is stuck to the flange like a motherfu<ker. I had to use a small metal bar and a 10lb slede hammer to break the shaft off of the flange. It still didn't take very long, but with old cars, simple jobs can be made a lot more complicated.

My driveshaft was seized on to the diff way back and all I did was put it in gear. It actually moved my car, so then I tried to peel out and thats when the driveshaft unseized and dropped on the floor.
Easy! but I removed all my heatsheilds during the process which makes removal and install a million times easier!
