driveshaft question

I just got a 82 GSL rear end to swap into my 83 project car, also picked up the 82 driveshaft that I'll need as well. I figure while its all apart I'll change the u joints, but I got a dumb question, are both the front and rear u joint the same? are both replaceable? I would think they would be, but just want to check before i order parts. Also, any thing I should be careful of when changing them? TIA
Sean

'82 and older are replaceable and the same front and rear. The '83-'85 are not replaceable. I don't know exactly when the diff flange changed (became larger), but it was right around '83, give or take a model year.

The flange changed in 83. So, 79-82=small flange; 83-85=large flange. The axles size change happened the following year, in 84.
