well i purchased a parts car(1985 GS 12A) today in vancouver for 250$ and the guy told me he could not get it started ... it had been sittin for about a year i think... anyway i tried firing it up , all it would do is turn over, so i took the spark plugs outa my 80 gs just to give it a shot ... whattya know that damn thing fired right up. although it was week heh sounded rough and puffed white smoke like a mother fu..... but yea im prety sure its a blown head gasket , anyone else ever had this happen to there car?

 

rx-7's don't have head gaskets let alone heads

 

**** lol im on a weired track today... dont know why i typed head gasket.... hahahaha somethin is wrong with me.

 

its the water jacket seal.....time for a rebuild

 

You might let it run for awhile and see if the smoke clears.................if it does, great.......watch the water level.......

it also maybe that the rotorseals are sucked up in the rotors.....and you are gettin blow by........then its time to try ATF, and let it sit..........


.....there is still hope............just depends on if you wanna mess with it.....


oh yah, if you still think its the "head gasket" I have a few I can sell ya......

I was going to post something about a rebuild kit, but...are you planning on fixing the engine or do you just plan on using it for parts?
