Question dRIVE sHAFT qUESTION

Both of my rear lower control arms broke. as it broke the diff pulled back streching the e-brake cable, pulling the drive shaft front yoke out of the tranny. "clean break" no grinding or anything like that. Just that when the yoke came out, the tip of the yoke didnt quite clear the outter circle part of the tranny where the yoke goes in. Resulting in pressure on both U joint ends and pushing the tip of the yoke on the edge of the tranny circular entrance. As I dropped the whole rear it released the pressure and i was able to pull it out.

U joints looked good no "extra play" i looked at the yoke where it was stuck on the outter cicular part of the tranny...and noticed a little dent on the outter edge of the yoke.........the dent looked minor as if some took a screwdriver flathead and out it against the outter edge of the yoke and hit it with a hammer leaving a slight indentation.....

my question is do i have to replace the yoke????

hope some of you were able to follow.

I'd get some emery paper and rub the yoke with it, try to smooth out any edges that might get caught in the tailshaft bushing. otherwise doesn't sound tooo bad....
