Smile Drifting an FB Rx7?

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting an Rx7 to make into a solid drift car build, and I'm caught between getting an FC or a SA/FB. I've heard and read that FC's have a good platform for drifting and all of that stuff, but I haven't heard much about first-gen rx7's and their platform. I'm familiar with the fact that rotaries themselves require lots of maintenance, so I'm not worried about the rotary itself. I would just like to find a platform that would be better for drifting. Also, I'm younger and I don't have too much experience with custom making parts. But with all of that in consideration, what would be the better platform for drifting? Thanks!

the FC has more support, although the FB does ok if you think outside the box a little, anything newer is probably better. even though when these cars were new every TV show had every car drifting every corner, so its not like this drifting thing is new....

FC by far, it has much lower roll centers.

It looks like to buy an FC right now is about $8k for a nonturbo, $25-30k for a Turbo II, so your best bet might be a 350Z or FR-S...

Drifting tends to eat up cars and replacement parts for FBs are harder to find now.

Go for a 350Z/G35. You can find them for under $10k now and they come with a little under 300hp out of the box.

Nah, parts are super easy to find, it only took me four and a half years of parts searching and something like $5000-6000 to get my '81 back on the road...

Definitely 350z.
FBs are cool but, between the slow manual steering box and the 4 link rear end, it will be difficult to drift w/o some custom fab work. I don't think there are any angle kits for it either.
