Koni's on an SA- quick question

Quick question regarding installing MR2 Koni's on a SA. I've got the FB mounts, with spacer (a 15mm ID, 17mm OD sleeve bearing works perfectly, btw), and all seems good to go. I'm just wondering about the top hat/spring seat, or whatever it's called. The SA has a more pronounced upward swept part, or nipple looking thing, if you will. It looks rather strange when it's all slapped together. I'm using RB springs and they had tp be compressed about half an inch to get the strut top nut on. All I've seen in posts is that you have to order the FB strut mount, nothing else needed. Will the SA spring top-hat work or do I need to find an FB top-hat?

I'm about to do the same switchover and I've never heard an issue with the spring perch being different. Nice that you gave dimensions on the spacer, I've been wondering about what size to get. Where did you source the spacer?

Having to compress the springs a bit is normal unless you have cut them down. Love to see pics of how it all went together.

I have thread where I have been discussing SA performance shocks, feel free to chime in there too https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...shocks-1131380.

Here's a pic of the strut as it sits fully assembled

Anything wrong with that?

Got the spacers from Amazon. Search for "
