HI draining battery

well for the past three days now my battery is constantly being drained by something (when it is off). it has never done this before and started when my alternator regulator started to go out. the only thing that i have done is replace the alternator and the battery is around 3 months old.
also, i have to replace the starter soon.
any ideas on what could be causing my battery to drain?

Make sure the dome light, glove box, or bin lights aren't staying on. One time I had the same problem caused by the key lock light shorted in the drivers door. good luck

Is it showing 14+ volts on the meter? Check your belt tension again. The other way to test the alternator is just take it back to the parts store they can hook it up to bench tester.

You can tell if you have a drain on the system by disconnecting the neg battery cable and placing a test light between the negative post and battery cable while the key is off... if the test light lights up, you have a drain

I would then start unplugging things... IE the alternator... sometimes if the 2 wires that plug in the back get reversed it will still charge, but you will have a drain

continue unplugging things until the test light goes out. The fuse block is a good source for unplugging different circuits in the car

Disconnect the negative terminal and put a ammeter between the negative terminal and the cable, it'll tell you how much draw there is on the battery w/ the ignition off. Remove fuses one by one until you find the culprit.
