I've seen some at Canadian Tire.
I've used both their "Parts Cleaner" and "Carb Cleaner" and have to say both are pretty weak.
I think the carb cleaner is stronger of the two though.

Hmm, Ill have to check again. I personally hate crap tire ever since they started to sell furniture.

But ill check again. Im trying to decarbon my various rotors and stuff. I think it was ways that said to soak it overnight in carb cleaner.

But i have been unable to find carb cleaner in non aerosol form

you can get a drum (small) of Gunwash. If you're going to use it for what I think you are you can just let stuff soak in that for however long and it will loosen up all the carbon on it.

hmm ... I believe I just used a degreaser when I did mine and I think that I got it from Napa or Carquest. Also one place i think that carries stuff like this is Princess Auto. I know they carry quite a few things in bulk.

When I used Crappy tire carb/parts cleaner to soak my rotors, it took a good week before the carbon "softened" and even then I thought it was a waste.
I cleaned the other rotor like this http://www.rebuildingrotaryengines.c...leaning_rotors and it was 10 times faster and I didn't have to damage my hands with the cleaner!

I could see you using the cleaner to help get the carbon out of the side seal groves and oil control ring groves when you're scraping it out but that's about all it's good for.

Good to know, checked princess auto (almost my favorite place ever) but they did not carry it so i did get alot off one rotor using heavy duty aerosol carb cleaner but its tedious

omg a grinder!!!! uhh yea... lol. I love how his "hand protection" is latex gloves.

Thanks for the link, ill try a wire wheel tomorrow as well as some cleaner from like napa or maybe the gunwash mentioned, see which goes easier. 2 rotors, 2 differnt ways.

thanks for the info guys
