Doooooh, I lost the bolts, Help!

I seem to have misplaced the bolts that hold the horn retainer plate onto the steering wheel and just sold/shipped the steering wheel to another member. I don't have another steering wheel so I have no idea of the specs of those bolts. I need to get some to him ASAP. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Those are a special type. Your best bet is to place a WTB thread in the 1st gen speicific parts section and just have the seller ship them straight to the person that bought the steering wheel.

I might have some spares on my '85 parts car, if you can't locate new ones

Manntis, thanks for the offer, I found some already.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of a black plastic cap that goes in/on top the horn spring? Not sure if they are unique to SAs.

I don't recall Ray. Been a while since we last "spoke". I think this cap fits inside or overtop of the horn spring and that's all I really know. I don't have another SA wheel to look at so I'm going on some info provided to me by another member. Hoping another SA owner knows exactly what part I'm looking for.

Mine was the little doohicky that lines up the turn signal returns, a plastic ring with two pins sticking up that need to be aligned wit the little holes when you put the steering wheel back on, ask me how I know. There must have been something similar in the SAs.

Ray, this is truly just for the horn, not anything to do with the turn signals but I know exactly what you are talking about. If you remove round rubber horn button in the center of the wheel, and then the backing plate, you'll find the spring and imfamous cap (at least in theory).

I love driving around like an old man with my blinker on because I too broke the signal reset ring. Its like its made out of the most finest fragile plastic in the world. I broke mine with my mind.

Anyone? If I don't get an answer I'll have to refund the money to the guy I sold it to. I'd rather buy the cup. Any help is appreciated.
