Doing my own paint-job!

I'm going to do my own respray, including interior and underhood. I just got started building a booth in my shop...

I've got just about all the stuff I need to do this somewhat right, including a 150 gallon compressor with regulator and a couple of decent spray guns. I'm planning to respray it with K3 Silver, but I may change my mind and go with something a little wilder...

Here's some pics of the booth under construction:

Any local 7 owners need a respray? I'll bomb your car for you if you help me with the sanding on mine.

K3 will look great but you've got to lose those hub caps. Nice work on doing it yourself!

They're not hub-caps, they're S4 TII wheels!

I've done two garage paint jobs, both came out as expected... The first was a ten-footer, the other was pretty good:

Sorry about the picture quality... A few moments before those pics were taken I was standing on a ladder hanging wire, and I got a call. When I pulled my phone out of my pocket I accidentally dropped it 8 feet onto a sopping wet concrete floor. It hit so hard it put the camera into "Macro mode" so the pics are a little crappy. Still works! Let's see an iPhone do that!

Got the estimate from my chassis builder today for the NHRA dashbar and halo additions to my 6-point, and the good news is I can afford it. I'm gonna start pulling out the interior tomorrow.

Looking forward to the results. I did a door and other touch ups in my driveway with a compressor and sprayer and then cleared it and got pretty lucky.
