doesnt want to stay in gear

Lately my car just doesn't seem to want to stay in gear, mainly 2nd and 4th. I'll be driving and I'll hit the gas and it'll rev and I'll look down at the shifter and its not in gear. Also it won't go in reverse unless I force it in slowly so the gears don't grind and even so sometimes it will just pop right back into neutral. That happens even if I put it in 1st first to stop the flywheel. Time to change my transmission fluid? Or is the problem more serious than that?

Thanks

Alright so lets say worst case scenario my transmissions all messed up and I need to replace it, wat are my other options besides getting another used FB tranny. Cause theyre getting harder and harder to find with low miles and in good shape and I want something that will last as long as my freshly rebuild engine. This is already my 2nd tranny, the first one was DOA.
