does someone make a dual weber IDF intake

I remenber seeing a car with a dual IDF carbs and I was wondering if anyone knows where to get this intake.
I want to run dual weber 40s on my 13b 4 port - large streetport.

I was looking at the TMW dual Dcoe setup but Im worried about it getting cramped down by the headers and the carbs getting to hot.

I like the TMW manifold because I would get instant thottle responce, which is importand to me.

If a similar IDF setup would give me good throttle responce I would rather go with that.

Any one know where to get this manifold for a 13B

I'm sorry that this is not related to your post, but in your avatar, is that your car? Do you have a close up?

A dual IDF would be cool, but it wouldn't be as good as the dual DCOE because the dual IDF would have to make that 90 degree turn that the center runners don't like.

I was considering EFI but the price is too much. I can get the twm for 500 and then dcoes on ebay for like $100 a peice. EFI would be a couple thousand dollars.

Defprun: that is not my car I cant remember where I got the pic but I have a larger one on my computer, I could email it if its really important.

Does anyone have any pics of a sidedraft setup like the TWM one. Or one of the atkins sidedraft setup. I would like to see how it fits down in there.

I had a dellorto 48dhla and the lake cities manifold which positions the carb above the header on my streetcar for over a year. Then turned it into a track car which you can see in my avatar. Drove it in 108 degree F heat and that carb did not boil over and didn't get abnormally hot. Just be sure to have a good two layer heat shield above the header. Dual 40 DCOE sidedrafts and the TWM Induction manifold will work great if you do that. There are many velocity stack and air filter options available to make it fit.

And I just JetHot 2000 coated my header to make it even cooler down there.

That picture is of Tony Rivera's SCCA EP 1st gen road racer. He placed 3rd at the Runoffs last year against some very stiff competition. He's force to be reckoned with.

Good Luck,

twm sells this intake manifold for the dual 40 sidedrafts.

search part number 0048.

if you go this route keep us all updated, especially what jetting you're using!

Rotary Engineering has bee out of business for more than 15 years. I had dinner with one of it's founders, Wayne Graham, very nice guy. And great driver too! He owns a 2nd gen EP that will go national next year.

Speaking of Dual 40's... I just purchased 2 Dellorto 40 side drafts... and I'm interested in a dual setup for my 12a street port that's comming my way soon from Revolutionary Rotoary for my 79. All the link u guys could provide for manifold, linkage, vacume routing etc.. (gonna be running a points dizzy) would be great...
Also how would this be for street use... I know fuel economy won't be all that great
THanks,
matt

driveabilty will be better with 2 40s than with one 48 or something like that.

The smaller bores give good low end torque.

Cool! Probably dual IDF. I haven't seen a dual IDA setup, although i think they would interchange. I'm more of a IDF fan myself. Kind of exceited to try this setup out, just would like to gather some info on it.

Well, not really. I mean you can get a 40 IDF on ebay for 330$. Then of course the filters, jets, emulsions, etc etc.
I guess it is $$$$$
But, if it works well I think it'll be a good investment.
Just need to figure out exactly how I want it, and what it needs.
Before when I ran a modified 48 IDF I ran F9 emulsions. 220 mains and 140 airs. Street driven, wonder what I'll end up with on the duals? I'll probably remove the chokes, and do some other things to my liking.
How much different is the 40 from the 48?
