swap the ignitor? or the conenctors on the ignitors...i swapped the connectors, and now the leading coil works. so..bum ignitor?

Yep, you've definately got a blown ignitor.

The problem with swapping the connectors around is that the timing will be off.

just posting this as a follow up...i replaced the ignitor and it runs fine. when i replaced my plugs, i switched to the 2nd gen N/a plugs..which have different heat ranges for trailing and leading, really seems to have a lot of power now.
