Difference from 79-80 and 81-85 12a?

I have a 83 12a in my corolla, and it has blown apex seals. I'm probably picking up a 79 12a engine soon. Will the tranny/IM/header and all that fit from the 83 to the 79? I know they probably won't, but I can't find anything by searching on here or Googe. Any help is appreciated.

So everything will bolt right up? Sweet. Then why do Racing Beat and folks sell stuff for the 79-80 and then the 81-85? Still wondering about all that. Thanks tho.

the reason racing beat list them differently is because of the way they come out at the end, the 81-85 had been routed with 3 catalytic converters stock as the 79-80 had the thermo reactors, so the bending at the bottom would probably be a little different. but at the block its all the same

The exhaust systems and egr routing is different between the SAs and FBs. The later intake manis work on the SAs, but not the other way around because of the egr port exit point on the FBs, without a little bit of modding.

Come on man, give me a break, I'm a little slow and all I needed was a simple yes from Doc, then I got two more answers and I started thinking too hard. Haha.

There is a link to the pics for those who are interested.

Weird
I don't know if that makes me like the corolla more or the 12a less.
