TESTS tests TESTs more "tests" well I put the 225 needle and set on, it has the propper 27mm drop and seems to work fine, but heres my thoughts. While blowing into the fuel inlet, I found that the 350 cross drilled allowed more air to go through it than the 225 even though the 350 would only drop to 20mm... So Im guessing that the 350 will be fine then, likely because its crossdrilled.

Anyone use the 350 from eurocarb? Im guessing that the drop measurment is so that the carb can allow more fuel in when it needs it, and if my 20 mm drop allows enough gas in, and when it gets to 13.5mm it stops the gas, then I should be grand... Right?

I'm using that setup as mentioned and it works great. Not sure what my drop measured at. You just want to make sure the needle opens up all the way when it drops and the floats aren't sitting on the bottom of the bowl. 28 is probably the max you can let the bowls drop and not hit the bottom is my guess. That 13.5 sounds good. Once you get it on there with some tuning and you should be good.

Theres a section in the tuning book that talks about how to tune these things. First get the idle mixture and speed correct and assuming the main jets are correct then work on the progression which normally involves mostly the AP adjustment so you get a nice squirt at the very start of the throttle movement.

Hmm well I went over to a friends today so didn't do to much... I did mess with the floats more and I noticed that the 350 is so big that it has to be perfectly lined up or else it only drops to 20mm. It will drop to 26mm if I slide the floats on the pin over to one certain side. There is a 1/16" gap left on the other side. My problem is that I cant keep it lined up perfectly, it wants to move on the pin. Would putting a small o ring on the opposite side be a problem? Thats the only way I can think of to keep the floats/needle/set lined up perfectly to allow it to drop the additional 5mm.

O ring= bad idea... more tinkering yeilds new ideas. left out the aluminum washer for the set, well the needle droped fine but the float settings for the closed position were like 2mm lol... Gave me an idea though, you know where the little slot is on the back of the floats that holds the needle in. Well I used some needle nose plyers and opened them up a mm or so, the float settings are 14 and 28 and the needle is leaving the seat enough to let more gas in... looks like im good to go, its almost midnight, but Ive waited a long time, think Im gonna put her all together now.
