i was in discount auto today and this comes me and we start talkin and and he tell me he s got a rx7 carb and i come to find out he s got a dell orto o ask if wants to sell he tell me 150 so i told sold its a 48 mm and all i need to get them is the stacks for it and im good to go.
so i was wonderin now what to i have to do to switch over from my efi to carb whats all involved and what do i need ???

hehe, removing the EFI is fun. just get out your wrenches and start yanking everything. i think i managed to get everything off in under a hour, including wiring, ECU. etc.
you will need injector plugs from racingbeat.com so you dont have gaping holes in your engine once you go to the carb.
did he say if the carb comes with a manifold? also you have to wonder if you want to ditch your EFI system if its working properly. carbs use more gas and its going to be a pain to tune and adjust at first.
you'll also need a low pressure fuel pump unless you run a return style fuel pressure regulator. basically the conversion isnt a lot of work, but it can get tedious. you'll want to be running a straight through exhaust setup with this too to see any HP gains.
however for $150 thats a steal.

I imagine it shouldn't be too difficult, remoing the EFI and CPU and then putting the carb on and hooking up fuel lines, etc.
yes, if intake manifold is involved then ****** that bastard up... and when you make another post on putting it on, pleaaaase.... PALEAASEEEEE re-read what you have written!!!!!! it's hard for us to understand what you are saying in some of your posts.

it didnt have the manifild but i should just be able to bolt it right up to the LIM w/o a hitch correct me if im wrong , bc thats what i was going to do with a weber but i couldnt pass this up. im keeping my LIM senseits going on my 84 SE.
i ll try watch what i write i just got home from iraq and this time change is ****** with my head and i was up for 48 hrs but i ll do what i can
