Basicly, they say that because these wheels have not been certified to pass all DOT requirements. Likely as strong as one that has passed, but makes the cost a little less, as they don't have to recover the costs of getting the DOT certification.

Cost less compared to what the additional DOT cert would add to the price. By no means are those cheaper than street wheels, and I never said they were.

I thought they're two more than one type of pana's... I know they have a DOT wheel that looks the same or similar.

I'm pretty sure that the 'racing only' wheels are lighter than the street wheels, at the cost of durability.

lol! You called them and they asked if you were using them on the street, and when you said "yes" they wouldn't do anything for you, right?

Lighter in the bead area so it doesnt conform to DOT requirements. So curb rash can cause the wheel to fail. DOT requires a double bead or something like that. Race wheels sacrifice this excess outer weight to improve performance (accel and braking). The moment of inertia is lower (if thats what its called).

I bought a used set of 13"X6" Panasport "Rally Pro" wheels to fit Fiesta in like new condition for $300 last Fall. They weigh the same as the fairly lightweight 5.5" wide Enkei minilite copies they replaced. Now if I just had some horsepower...

I will make you some center caps for $50 each. Heck, I will engrave your name on them to.

Panasport racing rims do not come with center caps.

For information regarding obtaining center caps to fit that particular rim- I'd call.... Panasport at 310/373/0071 and speak directly to them or get a number to an authorized rep.

Or take them to a wheel shop and find something generic.

Hey, it was pointed out to call Panasport or one of the dealers and you said you would rather not. I figured you wanted custom parts then.
