they are like $45 new. its better you just cap off thats line, that way the secondary throttle wont be sucked closed all the time

I luv sheep&dead hookers
Um, little green do-hicky? I broke one and bypassed it with a straight piece of vacuum line. I suppose I should replace it or cap it too?
There are two of them on the car. What does the other one do?

by pluging it, that wont screw up my car?. will that make them open all the time? sorry for all the stupid questions, i just don't want to mess up my car more than in already is. i am trying to fix an idle problem right now. maybe you could help me with that too. the car runs great when i am accelerating and coasting. i just doesn't want to idle. it tries to catch itself, but most of the time it goes too low and dies.

have you tried adjusting the screw on the top of the t body? that delay valves job is for the double throttle control. they have an extra set of throttle plates on the 2 secondary throttles. what they do is close them when the engine is cold so you cant beat on it. on the gsl-se's they have a water/vacuum switching valve. when its cold it sucks the throttle plates closed, and the vavle opens suddenly and the delay valve opens the second set of blades slowly, so that it doesnt affect drivability. its very common for those valves to be bad (both delay and the thermo/vacuum switch). if you put a vacuum line in place of the delay valve most likely the double throttle will be closed all the time. if you cap off both sides it will be open all the time. or you could spend the $80 and make it work properly

I broke that and put it back together with JB weld. Cut the vacuum hose off the broken piece, scuff up the surfaces with sand paper, and jb weld that thing back together. Beats paying for it from Mazda. Although I think you can get it for more like $20. Try mazdaformance.com.
